STEP 7 – MELALEUCA ESSENTIAL OIL

broken image

This oil comes from the leaves of the Melaleuca tree and is more commonly known as Tea Tree Oil. It has a fresh, woody, earthy aroma and has many uses, making it one of the most versatile oils.

MELALEUCA Essential Oil promotes a healthy immune system and protects against seasonal and environmental threats. It can be used aromatically, topically, and internally.

Like LAVENDER Essential Oil, MELALEUCA Essential Oil is soothing and purifying for the skin. It can soothe and cleanse irritated skin and is effective for reducing the appearance of blemishes while promoting a healthy complexion.

If you have itchy, irritated, puffy eyes, you can CAREFULLY apply one or two drops of MELALEUCA and/or Lavender Essential Oils around the eye. Be very careful not to get Essential Oils in your eye.

Safety Tip: If you do happen to accidentally get any Essential Oil in your eye, always use Carrier Oil to flush it out rather than water. Water will drive the oil farther into your eye and make things worse.

To make applying to the skin around the eye easier, you can add a couple of drops of MELALEUCA Essential Oil to your moisturizer or lotion. You’ll still need to be careful, but it can often be easier to apply a product in the form of lotion consistency than straight oil.

MELALEUCA Essential Oil is cleansing and can be used in cleaning products as an effective surface cleaner, which is helpful if you are sniffling and sneezing as a result of seasonal threat issues and want to keep your work or living areas clean.
